Hotel Blocking

Hotel Blocking

Ladies, I know some of you are looking at hotels to block rooms.

Please avoid the Melville Marriot. They ruined the end of my sister's wedding day. You can read the whole thing on the BHB board.

Truly a horrible experience. I will NEVER give them business again. Their manager on duty made a bad situation worse by refusing to accept responsibility for the entire thing and yelling at my sister and the whole party that we were overreacting. Then she walked away from me while I was talking to her saying she no longer wanted to 'deal with me'.

UNPROFESSIONALism at it worse.

The morning crew tried to make up for it but the damage has been done. On Friday everyone they met with at the Marriot was great an courteous. They even showed us an area where we could continue the celebrations after the bar had closed. Instead, we spent 40 minutes at the front desk dealing with a night manager with the worst attitude of anyone I had ever seen in my entire life.

By the time it was all over, my sister was furious and no one even felt like celebrating anymore. Especially consider 1/2 the family was being sent to another hotel.

Thanks, it really was terrible. And the night manager's attitude was just unthinkable. To be so snotty towards a bunch of people who have just been kicked out of their rooms - I still cannot believe that this woman works in customer service.

Hopefully not for long, though. We are going to see to it that this woman doesn't have a job after this.

I read your entire review and experience... that was so horrible. I hope that you get an answer and compensation for this horrible experience from corporate, although it will never erase your sister's bad memories.

Wow. I read the long version of the story - that is truely terrible. I will not be looking into booking rooms there, that's for sure. I'm so sorry that your sister had to go through that!
