Does anyone have any suggestions on a good (and not too pricy) hotel to use near Macarthur airport? I would love to find a place that includes a free shuttle if possible.
TIA!

Re: Hotel Blocks in Ronkonkoma Area
I don't think that the Hilton Garden Inn Islip/MacArthur shuttles to anywhere except the airport/train station (but defintely call and ask!) but they gave me the best rate for my hotel block @ $99.00 a night. They were super helpful and I liked the hotel the best out of the 3 we saw. No hotels in the area shuttled to my reception hall so it was more of preference for me.

I believe there is a Holiday Inn and a Hyatt in the area. Have you checked those out?

Re: Hotel Blocks in Ronkonkoma Area
Try the Holiday inn Express, in hauppague...they do a free shuttle with 10 rooms booked, and they also provide transportation to/from the airport...the room rate we have is $139

Whatever you do, DO NOT BOOK the Sheraton in Hauppauge. We just has my daughter's hotel block there and it was so difficult. Everything had to be done 3 or 4 times because they never did what they said they would do the first time!!
Other advice, get any hotel to confirm everything in an email. It saved us at the Sheraton.
Only one of two vendors we struggled with! The rest were a joy.

Re: Hotel Blocks in Ronkonkoma Area
I am booked at the Hilton Garden Inn. so nice and helpful!
We originally booked the Courtyard by Marriott right off the expressway. They were terrible. Would only give us 20 rooms...no shuttle...no free room for the bride and groom. I am SO GLAD we switched!

Hey Ladies,

I see you are getting married at the Bourne Mansion, i got married there in March! unfortunately, there are no hotels that offer a shuttle to Bourne, so you will have to book it on your own. We did it through our limo company. I had my block at the Hyatt Regency Long Island. They were great to work with and the block was only $89 a night. They let me add rooms when i needed to and even let people keep the rate for extended stays (we had friday night and sat and a few people needed Thurs night also)
edit cause i forgot to say, they do offer a free shuttle from the airport and the ronkonkoma train station

Re: Hotel Blocks in Ronkonkoma Area
We're getting married at the Bourne Mansion in Sept, and booked at Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma. It isn't fancy, but they built a shuttle into the room rates (like the rate is $20 more than it would have been), so none of our guests will have any excuse to drink and drive! They also have a fairly large bar that stays open without your having to pay the bartender which is great for an after party! If I were choosing based on rooms or customer service I would prob have done Hilton lol, but we really wanted the shuttle and bar, so Holiday Inn it was! I do wish I had negotiated a bit more though on our group rate...just FYI.

Re: Hotel Blocks in Ronkonkoma Area
I am using the Courtyard marriot in Ronkonkoma. The hotel is really modern and nice! I have a block of rooms for memorial day weekend (that friday) which most hotels would not even book me because of the holiday. they gave me a price of $119, the bridal suite is $175., we added the hotel bar to stay open until 2am for $100 and the shuttle to and from West Sayville Country Club is $142 round trip (most other hotels it was at least 300) and free shuttle back and forth to the airport.

Re: Hotel Blocks in Ronkonkoma Area
Your Welcome! Also, rates at times of the year that are not the summer and a holiday weekend would probably be less, wish I knew that before I booked my venue haha
