Any ideas for a nice hotel that I can stay in the night before the wedding and then FH and I can stay in the night of the wedding - located on or near the South Shore of Suffolk County?

The Hyatt is totally booked (who knew that Hauppauge in October was such a happening place???) and the Huntington Hilton is a bit too far from where I have to be the morning of (Oakdale).

Try the Islandia Marriott. I was trying to find hotels on the south shore too, with no luck.
They have been fantastic to work with and heave very reasonable rates...and I haven't heard anything bad about them on these boards (I don't think anyway!)

in bohemia on Veterans Hwy near macarthur hotel there is a really nice hotel I belive its a marriot courtyard!!!
