Hotel for the wedding night??? (Update: booked the GCH)

FH and I decided to stay at a hotel the night of our wedding instead of going home. Does anyone know of a good hotel in LI? I dont think I want to go into the city. I would love to stay at Oheka but not if its costing me 10k. Pl help!! Where are you guys staying?

UPDATE: I just booked the GCH. They were a pleasure over the phone , I can imagine what a pleasure their service is. They are NOT CLOSING!!!

I'm staying at the hotel where we set up our room block. This is where all of our friends will be staying so we'll get to hang out with them a bit more at the hotel bar or whatever and then have breakfast the next morning with everyone who stayed.
Do you have a room block set up anywhere?

Garden City Hotel is close to your hall and trust me it won't be closed or under construction by June. Things like that take forever and in the town of Garden City so many permits need to be aquired -- you will be fine.

The Inn at Fox Hollow is really nice too and that is right up the road from WG.

You'll be fine booking a room in the GC hotel. I know people there and its not going anywhere anytime soon..
I'm booking my rooms at the Sheraton Four Points in Plainview though. I've heard great things

we're probably staying at the GC hotel or maybe the Claremont which looks soooo nice - check that out also. it's probably $$ but no where near Oheka.

We might also stay at the marriot in Uniondale or in Rockville Centre depending on where FH's friends stay.

I WOULD definitely call first and find out all the info if you had an interest. Someone posted on here that the suite won't be available for people to book anymore, they'll honor those who already booked but anyone who tries now won't be able to do it, this is what someone posted though so not sure whats really going on with that.

No you can def stay at the Oheka if you are not getting married there. They hook you up nicely.
