we blocked 30 rooms for the wedding & are sending out about 125 or so invitations...do we put the hotel info in everyones invitation & they end up doing a 1st come 1st serve thing or do we just put the hotel info in the invitations of the people who we know will need or want to stay at the hotel? thanks!
I think you should give everyone the hotel information. Even local friends might want to make a big noght out of the wedding and stay over somewhere. I think the hotel should pay attention and if your rooms are all getting booked up they can add more to the block. You might want to check in about that, though.
We put the hotel information in the invitations for each out of town guest we were inviting regardless if we knew they were coming or not, or would be staying over or not.
do you think 30 rooms is enough for 125 invitiations? we didnt book anymore because if we dont fill 1/3 of what we booked, we have to pay for the extra rooms....not sure what to do...thanks!

I think 30 rooms is okay. We mailed out 245 invitations, most of our guests were from OOT (we live in NJ, and many of our guests had at least a 2 hour or more drive to our wedding). We only had 11 rooms reserved out of our block of 30

We put them in all the invites... We blocked 20 rooms - so first come first serve. If more than that want to reserve rooms, they'll have to pay full price. (which I don't think is really that much more than the blocked price.)
