I live right down the road and I can't even think of a hotel. At least a decent one.

You should try to do one that is located right off of exit 53 on the LIE.

There is the Chalet on 25a in Centerport/Huntington ...it looks kind of scary but it's actually not. & Sunken Meadow is literally like 15 minutes from there.

Probably the closest are the Wingate Inn and the Hampton Inn right by the expressway.
