Hotel Question..

My friend asked me yest. if I was blocking rooms for my guests at a hotel near the hall. Do I have to put a deposit down? I don't think i'm going to get a large turnout of people that plan on staying the night..and i dont want to guarantee a number and then get charged. Does anyone know how this works?

Re: Hotel Question..

Each hotel will have their own policies, so give a call to review those.

There will be no deposit required of you, and the minimum room blockings is usually 10 rooms, where 5 must be booked (majority) by the wedding date otherwise, you are liable to pay for those 5 rooms.

If you don't expect those rooms, I wouldn't bother blocking rooms, and just having your guests call and reserve now.

Re: Hotel Question..

I blocked 10 rooms at the Radisson. All unreserved rooms will be released one month before my wedding (be it one or all 10). There is abolutely no financial obligation on my part at all.
