Is there a thread for this? I want to find a place that can accomodate myself and my BP that isnt going to cost an arm and a leg. I am getting married at VYC in April. I was quoted $169.95 per room per night at Courtyard Marriot... and $269.95 per night for the 'Bridal Suite'.....reasonable?

I am getting married in Manhasset so I blocked off 10 rooms at The Andew Hotel in Great Neck for $179.00 per night including deluxe continental breakfast. A suite usually goes for $349.00 there but if I actually get 10 rooms or more booked, they will give us a suite for the same $179.00.
An IMPORTANT note: make sure that you do not have to guarantee a certain amount of rooms. For instance, I tried to block off rooms at the Roslyn Claremont and they wanted me to personally guarantee at least 10 rooms, meaning that if only two rooms were actually booked there for my wedding that I would personally be responsible for paying for the additional 8 rooms! I told them they were crazy and that it was not happening.
Read your contract VERY carefully!

I think its hard to say because itll depend on the time of year, night of the week, if the cost has recently gone up etc. But to give an idea:
Inn at Fox Hollow March of 08 our rate was $195.
Executive Inn was about $95

The hotels I have looked into are no where near close to your RH, but I checked out 6 places and had prices ranging from $135-$180 for single rooms and $215-$365 for suites.

i blocked rooms at the Hilton in Huntington and they are $139 a night for king sized bed or 2 doubles. Our suite is $239. I also called the Marriot in Melville and they were about $10 more.
I also checked out the Holiday Inn in Plainview, which was about $120 and the Four Points Sheraton which was about $150. HTH

I was just looking into this.
For rooms near Uniondale/Carle Place (think Nassaue Colliseaum Area) on a Saturday night in October 2009:
Marriot Uniondale: Wedding Suite - $550/night Guest Rooms - 190/night
Holiday Inn Carle Place: Suites: 310/junior, $365/master Rooms: 165/night
Wingate Inn Garden City Suites 299-349 Rooms: 159 15 rooms booked gives you a complimentary shuttle of $150 off suite price
Hilton Garden Inn Westbury: Suite: N/A Guest Rooms: 159 or 179 for a larger one
Most of these places said they had a 4-6 week cutoff, meaning any rooms not reserved by that point would be open to anyone.
Some of these places said I couldn't book this far in advance and needed to wait until 50 weeks before.
Almost all of these offer free continental breakfast. Some of them have bars on site they will leave open if they know ppl will be coming back and still want to party.
