We are using a local hotel for our guests and most of our wedding party is going to be there. We have 15 rooms blocked and a suite for the night before and the night of the wedding. The hotel does free shuttling to and from Giorgio's, one pick up one drop off, its not a contiuious shuttle. But that is why most of our guests are staying there-so they dont have to worry about driving drunk. Now since we have a lot of rooms blocked i thought we would get a good rate but its still 150.00/pnight. Is that a little high? What is the rate that everyone else got???
We booked the Marriott in Ronkonkoma for $119/night. They gave us the suite fo$199 and free shuttle service as long as 10 rooms were booked.
Danfords is $129 per night, no shuttle
I used the Marriott in Uniondale - I booked over 20 rooms and paid $149 - $199 (they changed the price when I added rooms to the block!) There was no shuttle and they charge $450 for the bridal suite!! So the quote you got isn't that bad - but there def. seem to be much better deals out there....I wish I had shopped around a little...
