We are using a local hotel for our guests and most of our wedding party is going to be there. We have 15 rooms blocked and a suite for the night before and the night of the wedding. The hotel does free shuttling to and from Giorgio's, one pick up one drop off, its not a contiuious shuttle. But that is why most of our guests are staying there-so they dont have to worry about driving drunk. Now since we have a lot of rooms blocked i thought we would get a good rate but its still 150.00/pnight. Is that a little high? What is the rate that everyone else got???

Re: Hotel Rates???
we're paying $189 a night for a suite... and that is ONLY because we have rooms blocked. otherwise it's $329 a night!
in addition, the hotel offered us use of their shuttle bus for $400!!!!!!!! we're not doing a shuttle.
Not bad being that you are getting the free shuttles.

Re: Hotel Rates???
The harrison house gave us no discount on our suite even though we had 30+ rooms taken by guest of our wedding. We also had to pay for a shuttle bus between the Harrison House and the Metropolitan. Our suite was $350!

Re: Hotel Rates???
I'm a giorgio's bride, but for 06. I can guarentee any hotel at least 50 rooms, I need like 80 for all my OOT guest. Each hotel will only give me 20 :(
I got hampton inn w/shuttles - 149 for nights w/no shuttle and 199 for nights w/shuttle
best western riverhead - 189 for any nights and for every 20 rooms booked they only provide 1 12 person shuttle that only drives there and back once. What good does that do my guests?
Radisson - 149 per night no shuttle
what hotel did you get for 150 w/shuttle?

Re: Hotel Rates???
What hotel is it? My cousin just got married at Giorgio's last month and everyone stayedat the Best Western and I believe it was $129 a night and they offer free shuttle service too.
We blocked rooms at the Marriott for our October Wedding and it's $149 a night w/no shuttle. I was hoping they'd throw a shuttle service in but no luck!

Re: Hotel Rates???
the hotel i booked is $109 a night. there are other options nearby so they're all competitively priced. Giorgio's is way out east so there might not be a competing hotel? This could definitely keep the price up...i'd check into others if i were you - not sure how many are out there though. most i asked out here were $109-ish, but they're corporate hotels that are more expensive during the week actally.

Our guests are paying $139/night (including breakfast) at the Harrison House, and our suite there is included in our reception price (which runs $350/night). I priced out a few other hotes that were around the same.

I'm using the Hilton Garden Inn in Ronkonkoma, and they gave us a price of $129/night (which my mother flipped about, thinking it was too much).

Re: Hotel Rates???
We are giving our guests 2 options.. Hotel with shuttle for 125 (we pay 250 for a suite) which also included continental breakfast the next morning... or another hotel with no shuttle for 89 a night with breakfast as well. I am giving them the option to pick which best suits their budget.

Re: Hotel Rates???
I got a price of $119/night at Courtyard Marriot and they offered a free shuttle to and from BCE. If we blocked 10 or more rooms, the suite would be free.
ETA: When i researched nice hotels initially, they were the cheapest by $20-30/night and they have a bar and pool along with the free shuttle which clinched the deal.
