Hey girls, I have already booked (didnt pay for) the Garden City Hotel for the night before my wedding and the night of for myself and our families. Are there any other hotels around that are really pretty and close to Franklin Square or Jamaica?? I am just curious since sometimes I get the feeling Garden City Hotel is a little rude, and they apparently dont let you take photos there unless you have your wedding there. Please help TIA!

I went to a wedding at Sand Castle and we stayed at La Quinta. There are a couple others in Garden City - including The Hyatt Place. A lot of girls have been raving about them!

Just wanted to say don't book at LaQuinta!! They were a total nightmare for my wedding block and wedding night!!!

Yeah, but don't quote me on that!! I feel like I called a million hotels! It came down to Hyatt Place and Sheraton Four Points. We chose the Sheraton b/c they had a bar that would stay open till 4am. We have 80 guests staying at the hotel so we were interested in an after-party!

We are staying at the LI Marriott in Uniondale and plan to take some pictures there before the wedding as well - My RH is Russos on the Bay, the Marriott isn't close but definately better than a JFK area hotel!

I booked my out of town guests at Hiltons Hampton Inn in Garden City. The rate was $139 a night They are only about 5 years old so the rooms are nice and updated and clean and they have an indoor pool. We are also going to book our suite there.
There is another hotel in Westubry called Vianna hotel & spa, which we were going to stay at since the suites are amazing....however the rooms were a little to pricey for our out of town guests at $169 a night.

we stayed in a suite there on nye it was nice and clean. we are going to use them for our wedding. My cousin said gc was not worth it , its pretty old looking lately

Thanks girls!!! Yea just have had major attitudes with them and am not looking forward to dealing with that on our wedding day, I may look into hyatt place it looks fab and the pricing is awesome!!! It's saving me over $1,000 if I switch from GCH to Hyatt place
