Hotel Room Block

For those of you who have blocked out rooms for OOT, do you block it just for the night of the wedding or the day before as well? I know this might be a dumb question but I have no idea.

We blocked a lot of rooms for the night of the wedding and about 2/3 of that amount for the night before.

My wedding was a Sunday. I blocked for Saturday and Sunday night both

We're having a day wedding, so I blocked the same amount of rooms for the night before and night of.

Since my wedding was on a Sunday, I booked for the day before the wedding and the day of the wedding.

We have a holiday weekend, so I booked Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights for a Saturday wedding. Guests can always book one, two or all three nights, but at least the rooms are there if they want/need them!!

There is no financial commitment at any of my hotels, so I booked the max at all of them so people had the option.
