ok.. back to the hotel questions....Did you all have crazy contracts?... not too sure how mant OOT guests we are going to have and i don't want to get in over my head! Also, did you have to leave deposits? I don't want to lose money on this !

we didn't have to leave any many and we just blocked 15 rooms - if they don't get blocked a month before they just go back into the hotels inventory

We signed a contract, but nothing crazy. We blocked 10 rooms each night (the max without leaving a guarantee) and that was it. If each 10 book up, I can add more. I didn't have to leave any money down.

we signed a contract. we dont have to guarantee any rooms though. we blocked 10 right now and if those fill then they block 10 more. we didnt leave a deposit or anything and if they dont block room sthey just release them a month before at the normal going rate

Same here - but we just did it for the one night. Night of the wedding. We don't have alot of OOT just Fh mom and sisters and they weill stay at our house if need be...

We signed a contract for 20 rooms. We have to guarantee half. If they don;t books we have to pay for them. I don't think it will be an issue as ALL of FH's guests are OOTers. We only had to leave a 20% deposit for the shuttle service we booked.

Sounds good...I am not looking to get into a situation where I have to guarantee or put any money down.

Pretty much the same with the other ladies... signed a contract for 25-30 rooms. If they don't book 6 weeks before, they release them. If I need more rooms, they add in blocks of 10 and same deal. No money down...and no one pays until they check out. They do require a cc to hold the reservation though.

The contract we got was very simple, we did not have to leave any $ and rooms not booked one moth before the wedding will be released for the hotel to sell (so no special rate for anyone after that) and we will not be responsible for anything.
