Hotels????????

Hi girls,

My parents are coming from overseas and would like to stay in a hotel close to me or by the RH. I am having a really hard time finding a reasonably priced hotel (average price so far is $149 per night) they want to stay for 10 days and this would be a lot of money. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced hotel in the Rockville Centre, Oceanside area (Nassau)? I would really appreciate any information you guys have. TIA

Sorry but for that time of year that is the going price. Try orbiz or something like that. Maybe you will find a cheaper rate.

That really is the going rate for that time of year.

There is a Best Western in RVC - you could try there. I think there is also a Hampton Inn in RVC, too.

The Red Roof Inn near Roosevelt Field mall might be less expensive, though it's farther away.

There are the Homestead Suites (I think that's the name) right off the expressway in Plainview. I know they specialize in long term stays (like if a family is getting there home re-done, job relocation, etc). Maybe they have some sort of special rate for long stays? Or other hotels like them?

not in the area you want, but my parents have stayed at the fairfield inn in syossett for $99 a night more than one time.

I am having the same problem - Don't even waste you time with the Hampton INN in RVC - much more than 189 - I have tried about every hotel in the RVC area and nowhere was biting for less than 149 - I didn't try the Best Western. I tried the Wingate Inn, Uniondale Marriott, Westbury Holiday Inn

hey near date twin!

We're obviously in suffolk on the north shore, but we had the same problem. The only places with rates below $100 per night also have hourly rates

The cheapest we found was something like $120 near islip airport... and that's WAY out of the way for both of us!

So, for the extra $20-30 a night, it likely is worth it to stay close to you....

we ended up sending most of our guests to a local port jeff motel... hardly the most luxurious, but it's close by, and only $130-140/night

Is there an extended stay america in nassau somewhere? That's the only other chain that may give you a discount for staying 10 days...

I would stay away from the Best Western in RVC....the clientele isn't the greatest...I know people who needed to stay in RVC for something and ended up leaving when they checked in...very shady

Re: Hotels????????

I started my hotel searching this past weekend....Its crazy!
I live in Babylon but I thought I would offer any info that may be of help.
Extended Stay America has 3 locations, Bethpage, Melville and by Laguardia Airport.
I think they were about $114 a night but if you stay more then 7 days the prices are even lower.
The have a kitchen but no continental breakfast offered.
PLUS if your parents are a AAA member the rates are like $109 a night.

I also looked into the Huntington Hilton - $199 per night
Best Western in Melville was $125 + tax Sun-Thursday and $139 Friday and Sat
And I think we are going to be using the Hampton Inn in Commack (As long as when I go to check it out its not a dump).
Im not sure what their reg prices are but if you are a senior (AARP memeber) is $116 a night.
Hope this helps.

Re: Hotels????????

Thanks you, you are all so helpful They are coming from Jamaica so they have to pay for their flight, I did not want them to have to spend too much where ever they stay on top of the plane ticket
