Ladies who are getting married at the westbury manor, which hotels are you using for the room blocks. Most of our guests are coming from brooklyn and staten island so we are expecting for quite a few of them to stay overnight. I have contacted all of the wm reccomended hotels but since I am not from the area, I thought some of you might have more information than what the websites can offer. So far I am leaning towards the fox hollow at $169 since they are including a shuttle, breakfast, and a complimentary room for us. Is that reasonable or too expensive?

Not getting married at WM but there is a new hotel in Westbury called Viana - I've heard good things about it. (Its right by what used to be Westbury Music Fair)

Viana gave me the highest rate of any hotel I called. It's very pretty, but the idea is to give guests a reasonable option for accommodations and Viana is not reasonable, IMO.
We're using Hyatt Place(FH and me, as well as family) and Hampton Inn (friends). Holiday Inn had good rates as well.
ETA: Hyatt offers a free shuttle and you and FH autoatically get a free room for the wedding night because you're a WM couple.

We are using the hyatt in garden city. We got quoted $129 a night in January. We only get a shuttle if 10 rooms are booked and we get breakfast.

I got a rate of $149 a night which includes shuttle bus to and from Westbury Manor and a complimentary bfast

$169 for Fox Hollow is a great price and it's a gorgeous hotel. The breakfast is outstanding. I recommend booking that. My friend is getting married at Fox Hollow and she didnt' even get her room block at that price.
We got a block at the Marriott in Uniondale by Nassau Coliseum mainly because we are having our after party at their bar/restaurant there; Champions.

I am using the Hyatt Place in Garden City .. its like 5 minutes away, every room is a suite so it is huge and perfect for families that are staying over, they have complimentary breakfeast and if you book 10 rooms you get a shuttle!
ETA: It was also the lowest rate that I got out of 4 hotels!

My brother got married at WM and they used Fox Hollow Inn for the hotel block. Our family was from Brooklyn and NJ and its only a few min. from the hotel. Everything was very nice and we went for a family dinner the night before at the Fox Hollow restaurant.

Thank you everyone for replying. I contacted Viana and although the place is beautifull, it is a bit expensive and does not offer a shuttle. I just called the Hyatt place, which many of you highly reccomended. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they give us a good rate so I can finally have another check. Meanwhile, keep the reccomendatiions coming.
