Hotels for outer town guest......

I was wondering if anyone is using the Marriot in Uniondale for there outtown guest to stay at for there wedding. If so what was the group rate they quoted you? Thanks.

Marriot in Uniondale was $169 per night. they don't have a wedding block discount, they just guarantee that if the rates go up, you will still pay the rate it was when you booked. We went with the new Red Roof Inn off of the Meadowbrook in Westbury for $104.99 a night.

I have also blocked off the Red Roof for $104. I blocked off rooms before the hotel actually opened and they told me I was getting a special rate since the hotel hadn't opened yet and that the cost would go up. I also have rooms blocked off at the Wingate Inn by Roosevelt Field. Can't remember cost per night, but they do have a complimentary breakfast every morning and a work out center

Just a note on the Red Roof....I have rooms blocked but I have told my guests to check out the Red Roof Inn webpage as they have cheaper rates online. There are rates for $85 and $95 off their website for the weekend of my wedding (december), so they are better off going directly to the site instead of booking through the block room rate. I still kept my block though, just to make sure that rooms will definately be available.
