We're going to be booking our honeymoon in hawaii soon. Can anyone recommend places to stay in MAUI and KAUAI????
There seem to be so many nice choices that i dont know how we're going to decide. Are there any good websites to visit?
TIA

We're staying at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui and the Hyatt in Kauai. I've also heard good things about the Grand Wailea and the Four Seasons in Maui and the Princeville in Kauai. You can also check out tripadvisor.com for recent reviews of the above hotels. Good luck!

Re: Hotels in Hawaii
trip advisor is a huge help! we were going to use marriott points to stay at a renaissance there and some of the reviews weren't so great so we changed hotels. although i'm sure it's all preference and some reviews might be based on the individual giving them, i didn't want to take a chance.
i heard the Princeville is very nice and was more reasonable then the Hyatt in Kauai but the travel agent we used said it was in the rainier part of the island.
we are staying at the Hyatt in Kauai and the Ritz Carlton in Maui.
Our honeymoon at the Four Seasons Wailea was absolutely amazing. Quieter than its 2 neighbors, the Kea Lani and the Grand Wailea. We stayed on club level (all day wonderful food and drinks (unlimited Roederer Champagne!! Oh yeah . Service was amazing, restaurants are fantastic, and you can't beat getting Evian spritz and being fed fresh strawberries and pineapple by the pool. Pricey, yes, but hey, that's Maui and it's the honeymoon!!!

On Kauai the two best hotels are the Hyatt and the Princeville. I've been to the Hyatt, and had a great time. The room we got wasn't that impressive, but the grounds/pools are amazing.

Those were all the same hotels I looked at when I went to Hawaii. I would up staying at the Grand Wailea and the Hyatt and would recommend both. People critize the Grand Wailea saying it is loud and has children but that was not my experience at all. I really enjoyed the hotel. I visited the Fairmont when I was there and loved it - it is very impressive. I also visited the 4Seasons and loved Spago there but it was not my taste of a hotel. Too uppidy. But a friend had told me that who works for the 4Seasons so that was my big reason why I didn't chose that hotel (it also has has a high number of business travellers). It is very nice - just the type of place where going to the pool in shorts and a tank you feel underdressed. In Kauai, both Princeville and Hyatt are great - I just liked the location of the Hyatt better as far as weather and also the setup of the hotel. I also visited both while I was there.

We stayed at the Sheraton in Kauai and loved it. Free breakfast brunch, free mai tai happy hour every day. It is right on Poipu Beach and we LOVED it!
