I'm trying to book our first year anniversary trip but the 2 travel agents i spoke to both recommended hotels in Sonoma when I specifically said Napa.
Any feedback would be appreciated!!
TIA

Re: Hotels in Napa
We went to CA for the honeymoon. We stayed one night at the Marriott in Napa. Then we stayed 2 nights in Sonoma at a gorgeous place called the Kenwood Inn. (That was a wedding gift from SIL). The Kenwood Inn is absolutely amazing, but it is definitely a splurge. We got lucky because the fireplace in our room wasn't working and they upgraded us to a suite. It is the most romantic place I've ever stayed in my life.
If you go there, get reservations for dinner at the Culinary Institute of America. I think it is called Greystone. It is yummy and you get a full view into the kitchens.

Re: Hotels in Napa
The Culinary Institute is in Napa.
Also, if there are specific vineyards that you MUST visit, call ahead to make reservations. Some of them need a few days lead time.

I love Napa.
We stayed at the Candlelight inn... We were engaged in Napa and I love it there. I can tell you a bunch of restaurants to go to!

Re: Hotels in Napa
we stayed @ the marriott and it was wonderful in terms of location and service. we booked it on hotwire.com and got a $350/night room for $120.
napa is where we got engaged, so it has special significance for us. i hope you find it as romantic as we did!

Never stayed in Napa - Wanted too not enough time in CA. If you do end up in Sonoma - We loved the Fairmont.

Re: Hotels in Napa
we stayed in calistoga its in the upper valley and very beautiful! I would def rec. staying a little outside of Napa its much more relaxing and napa could only be a 15 min drive. we stayed at the best western stevenson and it was perfect! they people there were sooo nice and we could walk to town to all the rest. at night for dinner. I would def recomend it
