hotels in NYC

my fi and I are not doing a honeymoon right away, but we would like to go into the city for a few nights after the wedding.

i was wondering if anyone had any hotel recommendations that are nice, but not ridiculously priced.

We stayed at the Essex House on our wedding night. I'm not sure about though?

The W in Times Square is very nice too.

I took FH there for his birthday weekend a few years back. Its right by Times Square and central to everything. Really NICE trendy hotel, but doesn't break the bank.

thanks ladies...i did a search on citysearch too, but i just don't know what they are...i figured i would ask here if anyone has been to any....sometimes pictures look so much nicer than the hotels really are....
