Does anyone know of any decent hotels in the area of Rockville Centre/Oceanside? I am looking for somewhere to block rooms for my guests; my reception is in Oceanside and I am sure people wont want to travel that far from that area...a hotel with a bar or lounge would be ideal..thanks for any help you can give

I don't know how good it is but there is the Best Western in RVC on Sunrise Hwy.

I live In Baldwin and looked... there are slim pickings unfortunately.... I looked at the Best Western and really, it's a glorified motel....and they were charging something like $159.00 for February!! the rooms were small and they offered no extras.
I would definitely look at the Hampton Inn (On Merrick Road in Rockville Centre (just past the Best Western and heading into Lynbrook). Far nicer...and the price was better too.....
There is also the Diplomat on Sunrise Highway in Baldwin... a bit motel like, but not too bad...
I would defintiely go with the Hampton Inn.... or look at the hotels in the Garden City/Mineola area... a bit longer of a drive but more options.

Yeah there definitely aren't too many choices in that area. I'm going to look into the ones that are there but I might have to go into the Garden City area, like you said!! Thanks so much girls!!

Definitely check out the Hampton Inn and if you go into garden City, look at the Wingate Inn... I am VERY happy with them so far... we got a great rate and we get lots of extras for booking a certain number of rooms,.
