Ok I need to block rooms for a hotel near chateau la mer. We have guests from upstate, new jersey, pennsylvania and also my friends who are going to drink but dont want to drive home after our e-party. Their affiliate is holiday inn express but i don't like it...Does anyone know how far melville marriott is or how about huntington hilton...and also if you can tell me their rates.
I looked at other hotels very nearby and its mostly motels and I don't want that. TIA

Okay, what you can also do is go to Yahoo and click on maps and type in the CLM address. Once it finds that address, on the bottom hit browse by category and click on travel and transit and then click on hotels and motels. From there i think it gives you the 20 closest locations. Some of them will probably be awful, but it will give you the 20 closest.

yeah thats what i did on mapquest, the first page is awful...Then the best options were the two i listed, so guess it has to be one of those two...I think one of them was 7 miles which is not that bad and the other like 8 miles

Re: Hotels near CLM
We went to see the Mariott, Hilton and the Sheraton in Plainview. The Hilton we stayed at after BIL/SILs wedding and were not impressed. The rooms were noisy and when we went to breakfast the glasses were dirty. Plus they had promised them that the bar would be kept open until we arrived and it was closed. Their 'bridal suite' is more of a business suite. The Mariott is very pretty but a little more expensive. Again, they don't really have a 'bridal suite'.... We ended up going with the Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview. It's newly rennovated, right off the service road for the LIE. The bridal suite was gorgeous- glass/marble shower, jacuzzi and even a plasma tv! The bar stayed open late for us and the regular rooms were beautiful as well! I have pix of the room in my review. If you have any questions feel free to ask. They were a PLEASURE to work with!!

Oooo thank you sooo much for your suggestion, i appreciate it...I will definitely call them today.
Its funny because hunting hilton was charging more than the other places...They wanted 180 for the night and I don't want my guests to pay that much to come to my party. I thought it was a bit much for that area. Again thank you very much
