FH and I might stay at a hotel for the WOTY - are there any near VYC??? I need help!

Not much unfortunately. There are a few hotels on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale (Courtyard Marriot) and Melville (Huntington Hilton & Melville Marriot), but they're about 10-15 minutes away.

thank you! i have to figure out what we are going to do.....we were going to have a few drinks and cab it to and from the hotel.....BUT i dont know if its worth it.....maybe no drinking and we'll just drive home - its like 1hr 30 mins from us....

What about LIRR? I don't know what station it's near, but it might be worth it. Someone might be able to pick you up and drop you off too.

the only thing that ***** is that she still would have to take the train downtown from penn and then to the ferry to get to staten island

well unless you wouldn't mind taking a cab from downtown manhattan?
One of my bm's lives in SI and this is what she does sometimes when she comes out at night. I know how much of a pain it is for her sometimes.

Ditto. Drop off your car at the hotel and cab it to/from the VYC.
Don't drive all the way back to SI - it will be nice for you and FH to stay in the hotel.
