Unfortunately, all of the hotels out there are pretty expensive. I got quotes from Holiday Inn, Hilton and Hotel Indigo (who i booked with) and the cheapest was the Hilton at $199 and they didn't provide shuttle transportation at all!! You had to book it yourself!!
I think it all depends on the time of year your wedding is, but i would call then and try to negoiate and play them off each other. that's why i did and i was able to get it down a little. You can also always add $ to each guests hotel room to subsidize the price a bit. I think FH and I are going to do that...
HTH!!!
ETA: We are having the bar stay open after the wedding for 2 hours - that's like $200 extra.

Re: Hotels out east?
Hi Ladies, How is the Hotel Indigo? I heard and read bad things about the Best Western, so I am hoping this is a new management.
Does anyone have pictures? Their website only shows 3.
Thanks!

Re: Hotels out east?
I blocked rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn. We actually went and visited them and the Holiday Inn. The Hilton is much nicer, and the staff were much more professional, and they were cheaper for us. They don't include a shuttle but the shuttle the Holiday Inn gives you is not enough for every guest. You still would have to hire additional shuttles. The only negative for me about the Hilton is there are no suites. It's only king and queen rooms. If you are concerned about cost, block some queen rooms too and your friends can share them. The Indigo wasn't open when I got our block, and I saw their average prices somewhere and they were about $100 more per night than the Hilton. Get some quotes, and go check the places out, you can get a nice day of wine tasting out of it!

Re: Hotels out east?
i heard the hilton was really nice and that they give you a great breakfast in the morning. when i was looking at giorgio's, i was told that the hilton was the nicest, despite not having a shuttle.

Re: Hotels out east?
We went with the Hilton. We orignially were going to book the Holiday Inn because it was slightly cheaper...but after visiting them both....Hilton was FAR better. The staff at the Holiday Inn was rude and the place was not that great. The Hilton may not have a suite, but the rooms are big enough and they have several conference rooms available to use. We are prob going to keep the bar open a bit late too...the bartender there when we went to visit was friendly and def made me feel SUPER comfortable with them. The shuttle situation is the ONLY drawback, but like another bride said, even the Holiday Inn's shuttle won't be big enough for all your guests. I'm a Giorgio's bride too, and frankly, people can drive themselves...it's only 5 minutes away really.

Re: Hotels out east?
I agree..the Hilton seems like a better 'hangout' area..I am having a day wedding also and they told us they have a bar/lounge, fire pit, and restaurant as their common areas. It was slighty cheaper than the Holiday Inn but in the end it has more thing s to do!

Re: Hotels out east?
I'm getting married at Giorgios. I went with Holiday Inn.. $209 with free shuttles for 15 guest min. But my wedding is on July 4th, so you should get a cheaper price. They said you can keep the bar open for an after party for only like $100.
