I dont have that many OOTers that would need hotels...most of my family will stay with other family members that live here... since hotel blocks require 8-10 booked rooms in order to get the discount, do we still go for a block? or do we just send a list of nearby hotels to those who will need one?

I would probably get a block just to insure that rooms are available. Fall is probably safe, but you never know. My hotel is already booked up for my wedding weekend (outside of the blocks).

i would get a block of rooms but check with the hotel because some of the hotels make you pay for rooms not used while others don't.

get the block...they only reserve that many rooms for your wedding...you arent required to book that many...and the way my hotel did it is that if the rooms arent booked a month before the wedding, then they just let them go to the public at the reg rate...

ita we have to block in groups of 10 and use at least 7 or else we have to pay
