Hott Under That Dress!!

I went for my second fitting today, I was only in the dress from like 10 minutes and my legs were dripping with sweat.. sorry to be gross. has this happned to anyone else.. I dont know what to do

Yes! I was sweating while trying mine on too, I was hoping it might be the fact that the heat was on high in the store!

Yes, this is why I chose to wear a hoop skirt instead of a regular crinoline -- nothing touches your legs and the air flows freely under the dress. Makes it much cooler under there.

That is exacly why on the day of your wedding they will have the AC pumping to the max, it gets really hot under those dresses.

me too! Im also wearing a hoop skirt so i avoid any material touching my legs as well!

OMG YES!! i tried on my dress with a long line bra a few weeks ago and when my MOH took my bra off i warned her that she may have to touch my sweat and shes like geez, u weren't kidding!!

I def. was as well!!! but you have to keep in mind that you were probably not moving an inch while you were being fitted.

When I first picked out my dress they put a slip on me and I started to sweat so I told them to take it off, I was sweating already I really didn't need one so that was good, but I know the feeling!!

not at all My gown is really light. It feels like a regular dress (but longer!)

The first gown I tried on in a shop weighed probably 25lbs, and I could hardly walk in the @#$# thing. It was fluffy, enormous and HOT. I could hardly walk in that gown!

I stumbled out of the fitting room and said to the girl 'this is a joke, right?' she wasn't amuzed...

def try. it cant hurt.

but nylons..id think more material would make it worse.

I think nylons might make it worse. This is my biggest fear with my dress - I think I might look into that hoop slip idea.

Oh my gosh my wedding swas in February but I was still HOT under my dress....I asked my maitrede to turn down heat but he said it wasnt even on!

One tip, no one can tell when your legs are not crossed in big dress...

I just came back from my last fitting....You are so right!! I was sweating like crazy!! I noticed that if I wear pantyhose, I am fine. Without them...YUK!!

I take my dress home next week!!!

I felt the same way shopping this weekend!
I think i may skip a slip entirely because my final 3 dresses all have built in slips.
I may also wear a slimmer instead of a long line bra!
Anything to keep from passing out or sweating like crazy.
