I went for my second fitting today, I was only in the dress from like 10 minutes and my legs were dripping with sweat.. sorry to be gross. has this happned to anyone else.. I dont know what to do

I think mine comes with a hoop skirt built in. When I tried on my dress last week (it just came in), the material didn't touch my legs at all (but I could barely get through the door!).

This is going to sound even more gross, but if you wear tights/pantyhose/something like trouser slimmers, it wicks away the perspiration. It seems like it should be hotter, but it's more comfortable if you're dry.

My MOH was in a BM in her childhood friend's wedding and this happened to her friend (the bride... granted it was upstate NY in the middle of August, not a breeze in sight). She said that her and the other BMs just had to get up under the dress with towels and dry her off every now and again.

Yes, this is why I chose to wear a hoop skirt instead of a regular crinoline -- nothing touches your legs and the air flows freely under the dress. Makes it much cooler under there.

Where can I get a hoop skirt?

Most Def!!! My dress isn't that heavy but between the 3-4 layers plus the foundation the sweat was pouring out of me. Some advise that i had gotten from my MOH is to put some baby powder on that helps to cool you off.

Oh my gosh my wedding swas in February but I was still HOT under my dress....I asked my maitrede to turn down heat but he said it wasnt even on!

One tip, no one can tell when your legs are not crossed in big dress...

Thats a good point!!! And yes I went for my final fitting last night and was starting to get really warm in my dress!

I went to 'visit' my dress for the first time yesterday and I was sweating too... I was kind of nervous too cause I didnt want to get the dress dirty so I wasent reall moving at all... It was hot under there... But like someone mentioned above, baby powder might be a good idea

That was the reason I chose a gown with an organza skirt. It is nice and light and cool! I was sweating in the satin skirts and told my bridal girl I wanted something cool. I'm getting married in the middle of summer! I wouldn't be able to take it!

Oh yeah, this happened to me too. I'm hoping it was because the room was small and it was winter. I already told my mother, if this slip makes me sweaty it's coming off. I don't care.

I was super hot in my gown too the second time, but I think that was also contributed by the lights I was standing right under. I'm not wearing stockings though since my wedding is in the early summer.
