Do you plan on owning a home after the wedding? Im sooo stressed .. I dont know if I can budget for another big transaction again ..
I guess we will be budgeting our whole lives ....

Yes... after the wedding is over any money that we receive as gifts from the wedding will be going directly towards a house and we will continue to save for one and then hopefully start looking about 6 months after

we did the same!!! We bought a condo in Babylon Village pay mortgage and the wedding but I wouldnt have it any other way.
My advice to anyone is be realistic with your budget!!!! Everyone would love to live in a mansion.... but dont over extend your self. We bought an awesome condo in Babylon Village which is exactly what we wanted and we stayed within our budget!

YEP!!! I will be doing that...
We were planning on house first then marry but We decided it was NOT going to work out so great saving towards the wedding and a downpayment...
So we decided FIRST marrid n then House!

UGH same boat here-SO hard to pay for wedding things AND write the mortgage check each month!
If we were still living at home-we'd be having a HUGE wedding!

We're hoping to do the same but prolly buy after a year. It all depends on our job situation and the housing market also

We bought the house first. We just celebrated our one year in the house last month
It's def hard paying for a wedding when you have a house but I wouldn't have it any other way.

We own as well, he actually already had the house when I met him. But yes, the mortgage is a pain!

we are in the same boat! its hard to save and pay a mortgage at the same time. either way, buying a house before or after the wedding i think has its ups and downs...

We are trying to buy a house before the wedding. Like around the beginning of 2011. We want to be in a house by the time we get married to have space for a few close OOT'ers to stay. I'm not sure how this will work out but if not by then it will be the first purchase after the wedding!!!
