Its such a beautiful house. WHat exactly makes a modular home modular? I've never heard of it but I like it!

---

well there are modulars and then there are stick houses. Stick houses are built from the grown up and take much longer to build. Modulars are basically made in a factory in pieces and brought on trucks (like my house will have 4 big pieces to it). Then they are put together by a crane once the foundation is in the ground. It takes 4-6 weeks for the house to be delivered once it is ordered.

I love your house!!!!!

is it really a lot cheaper than buying an existing house?

Well out here it is. I mean why buy a $700,000 house that you'd have to sink another $50,000 or more into to get it fixed up or the way you want it. For almost the same price w/the land + house, you can get a modular and walk into a brand new house.

i agree that's why we did that too, although we didn't pay that much to begin with. the only thing with that is you really never know your taxes until you moved into the house.
