House or Apartment?

How many of you girls are moving into an apartment or already have a house after your wedding? I am moving into an apartment for right now to try and save more $$$

I am living in an apartment and we are moving to another apt after the wedding.

FH and I are in an apt now. Try to own if you can, its a better investment. With both our jobs we can't own because I work in Suffolk, he's in Nassau and we haven't decided where to settle yet. But if you go into an apt -- it might take you longer to save for a house, whereas a house might be tight, but will be a better return in the long run

We are probably going to stay with my mom for a year so we can really save. If we are able to purchase a house in 2008 we will. If we are still unable to we will look at renting an apartment. We shall what happens.

I lucked out... I had an apartment in Hoboken, NJ. WHen I first started dating FH over three years ago he bought a new house and fixed up the whole thing. I moved in after we got engaged and now the house is ours.

Reluctant on my part - We are moving into an apt. this weekend. I hate wasting money and to me apts are waste, but FH can't afford to put money down on a house b/c he has his own business and he is working on making it bigger and I don't want to be the only one to put a down payment down b/c my bank account will be drained then.

We're staying right were we are.....in our small cubby APT. We'll probably buy a house next year. Thing is we really don't want to stay in NY so we're not sure what we're doing in the next year...so we'll just stay here.

We bought a condo in December, but we lived in an apartment together for 2 years before that.

This is my opinion,,,,,
FH and I wanted an apt before we got the house because we just wanted to get out of our parents houses.......
The more and more we thought about it, we decided not to get an apartment, save our money and buy the house. We couldnt see paying rent for an apartment and getting nothing out of it....were as you buy a house you pay the mortgage and its yours.....ya know what I mean?

Fh and I are renting a cottage in Rocky Point. We are hoping to have some sort of a down payment for a house after the wedding.

we both have lived together for three years now in our condo. A year after the wedding we will be looking to buy a house.

we have to save for a house.. and now look for a new apt.. we probably won't get an house for another year..
