House Update - Updated as of 1:20 pm Sunday

Ok, its 12:30 and i can't sleep. We put a bid in on a house and we're now waiting to hear.

The house needs MAJOR work....I can't fathom how these people are living in this house, its beyond gross. But FH is handy and Dad is a contractor so it didn't scare us. It has a ton of potential and I really feel like its our time. Bad thing is we put a bid in for a lot less than asking b/c of the shape it was in. I don't think they'll accept it but you never know.

To all the girls who wished me luck during my first 'good thoughts needed' post I thank you and am now hoping all your thoughts and prayers work!!!!

I'm going to attempt to get some sleep......wonder if FH is up worrying about it

Lori, sorry to hear you didn't get the house. We went through that a couple of times, and in all honesty, it always worked out for the best. Keep looking and good luck. Keep us posted on everything.

I just went to Contract with the house that my FH and I are purchasing. I know that it can be frustrating, we were looking for a really long time. It's sad but true, that people do bid higher than the asking price. To tell you the truth half of these homes aren't worth what the asking price is. We are purchasing our home by Owner. Maybe if you try and find something for sale by owner it may be easier. Lots of Luck!
