For those of us that don't currently own a house/co-op/condo when do you anticipate buying? I'm in such a panic thinking about how the majority of our money right now is going towards the wedding. We won't be able to really save for a house until after the wedding. We rent from FH's dad so we have an awesome apartment for what we're paying but I can't help but want to be in my own house asap! When do you girls think you'll be able to buy? Is this a thought on everyone's minds?

My plan is to get into a coop or condo first... you can get a two br for around 300k. Stay there for a few years... and then sell (hopefully make some $ off the sale) and put it into a home.

We have a nice situation right now where we live in a detached apartment (fairly new) in my parents house and pay minimal rent. I will graduate in Dec of 08 and hopefully between the FH and I we'll be making $100k+ a year. However we're saving for the wedding right now, so we won't start saving until after that. Probably within a year or 2 of getting married we'll start looking. My parents aren't kicking us out anytime soon.
