Housewarming Gift?

Housewarming Gift?

So as I mentioned, I'm meeting with my friend / florist tonight. Well he and his girlfriend just bought a house together, and that's where I'm going to meet with him. It's the first time I'm going to his new home.

I'd like to get them some sort of a housewarming gift (also an extra thank-you for him helping me out).

Any ideas???? Usually I'd bring flowers, but uhhhhh I don't think it's the best gift for my florist!!!!

A nice bottle of wine?
Giftcard to Home Depot?
Maybe search the major stores and see if they registered anywhere for housewarming gifts...registry-stalk them! Hee hee!
A really nice frame with a picture of you and FH?

One of the cutest housewarming gifts we received was a take out menu holder, personalized with our names.

I think the Home Depot gift card idea is great! I remember when FH and I first bought our house we were asking everyone for gift cards that Christmas! I'm thinking I may go with that.............

Thanks ladies!

ditto. i used to drive around with a case of wine in my trunk. you never know when you need an impromptu gift. honestly, it has totally helped in many instances. ...i dont do that anymore, but sometimes i wish i had !

Definitely GC, you could even do to the nearest supermarket instead of Homedepot

I also think a gift card would be a great way to go, but the personalized take out menu holder sounds adorable, it's something that you just wouldn't buy for yourself and it would actually be useful.
