Housewarming gifts? What do you give?

My sister is about to close on a home soon(very exciting) and will be having a housewarming party come Aug. I want to get some things for her. She did well at her Bridal shower so most of her household needs were bought.
What do you normally get?
I actually went to Bath & Body and bought, soaps, candle, lotion and more soap for kitchen stuff and figured I could add more, like a basket of goodies.

Any suggestions??

TIA!

I'd do a basket of all types of cleaning products, stuff for the bathroom and kitchen especially. I TOTALLY needed some when we first got our house!
Windex, 409, Scrubbing Bubbles... it will definitely be appreciated!

I've given this to a couple of girls, and they love it. If you go to the yankee candle store in roosevelt field, they have a plastic container and you fill it with an assortment of votive candles. Really cute!!

i also like to do baskets of all types of gadgets like garlic pellers and strainers and wine stoppers and pourers things you never but yourself but really need. people have given us gift cards from pier one and home depot and target and they really do come in handy.

I think it's always appreciated when you give a gift card, that way they can pick out what they really need and can go whenever they are ready. Crate and Barrel is very nice or a Department store, Target also has great stuff for the home.

Does she still have her registry? I know you said she did pretty well, but I would probably get her something that is still on there - if she doesn't want it - then she can return it and get store credit!

what about a basket of joy or cheer? you take a laundry basket and put some joy dish detergent or cheer laundry detergent and then other house stuff, like gloves, sponges, paper towels, 409, coffee, etc. you have fun shopping for the stuff she needs.

OK...spinoff to this...going to a HW today and the couple is registered, but I have a set of Tiffany goblets that I have been dying to get rid of. Can I give them that and a nice bottle of red wine? Will it upset them that I didn't buy them a registry gift?
