HOW ABOUT A CRUISE?

HOW ABOUT A CRUISE?

Many cruise lines go out of Manhattan, so you could save huge by not needing to spend on airfare. Plus, cruises are very inexepensive anyway (some web deals offer $600 pp for a decent cruise) so you'd have tons left for spending money.

There are lots of deals out there now.
Even the show According to Jim is publicizing Disney cruises since they are owned by Disney.

After so many people got sick on those ships, people have definitely cut back on cruises.

Actually, we were thinking about a cruise for the same reasons. LEaving out of NY saves a lot, and we thought we could spend some of the money we saved on a nicer room. Any experiences with cruises to Bermuda?

my only concern about leaving from NY on the cheaper lines, they either go to Bermuda or Canada. Some go to FL but those are the more expensive ones and only goes 1-way.

We hope to go crusies as part of HM

For our HM we wenta on the Carnival Legend out of NY. It was a 8 night cruise to San Juan, St. Thomas, & Tortola. It was amazing & the perfect HM, IMO. I would recommend it to anyone.

The only problem with cruises that leave from Manhattan is that you will spend two days at sea each way. Otherwise cruises are great. We are going on one, leaving from San Juan and going to some of the other islands in the southern caribbean. If we had a few more vacation days available we would stay in San Juan a few days. Maybe some other time.

I have been to Bermuda. And it is beautiful. Very romantic. we are going on a cruise for a honeymoon and leaving from NY. We can't wait!

You don't have to pay for meals just drinks!

I took a cruise to Bermuda from NY a few years ago. What a great trip! The thing about cruises is that when they're in port, you always feel like you have to do something because you will only be in port for so long. It can get very tiring. But with Bermuda, you leave from NY around 4-5PM and cruise that evening and the next day so you have time to relax. The morning after that, you wake up in Bermuda! Most likely, the ship will dock in two or three ports in Bermuda. Then you have the day and a half trip back to NY (more time to relax). I thought there was plenty to do in Bermuda for those four days and you don't feel rushed.

For those thinking of other cruises, I also went on a few others and although they were very busy with all the stops at different ports, they are great vacations. I highly recommend them- all!
