How about a school bus?

Would anyone rent a school bus (with A/C) to shuttle people from hotel to reception and back??

i think you guest would apprecite a shuttle and would not care what the mode of transpo is! You can decorate it nicely i am sure! It would be even better if you or your FH was a teacher.

Why would you rent a school bus instead of a shuttle? Is it b/c of the price?

Some come in colors other than yellow! What about a Taxi servcie? they may do cheaper shuttles or even contact your church they may have a shuttle for events that you can use for a fee!

yes, b/c of the price, I have gotten quotes for coach buses for $8-900! I was shocked!!!

You can get school buses in white. When I worked in a day treatment center, the consumers were transported in white buses. I think it is a great idea and very thoughtful of you.

I think it is fine as long as it has A/C. Your guests will get a kick out if it!

If I was a guest - I wouldn't care how I got there - you're doing enough as it is to transport them - it's not really your responsibility. I would be greatful for whatever came my way!

I think most people would get a kick out of it...to be transported by a bus. And as previous posters said, most will be happy just to have a ride.

Both of our families are very down to earth, so I am thinking that it wouldn't be so bad. If I could find a white one, that would be awesome. Maybe I could get them to hang streamers from it or something....any ideas on who rents these..fm me. thanks!

depends how formal the event is

if it is really formal a school bus doesn't make much sense...but if you are doing a casual outdoor wedding type of thing, then I think it is a great idea :)

if people care that it's a school bus and not a coach bus, then make them drive...or walk

I think its a great idea cuz then your guests don't have to worry about drinking and driving and everyone can have a great time and if someone has a problem with the school bus then they can take their own transportation. I think its great and very thoguhtful.
