However you want, there's no rule. I think (I really don't even remember) we did Parents of the Bride followed by their first and last names, ditto for Groom.

I will probably do, parents of the bride, joanne and thomas b ... using last names and first. I think it sounds nice, not that anyone needs to know their name since almost everyone will know it but I just think it sounds like something is missing if the last name is left off.

This is how we are doing it:

The Mother of the Bride Maureen P escorted by Tommy D
The Mother of the Groom Pam C escorted by the grooms borthers Adam and David P
The Father of the Groom Gary C escorted by Darcy M

My father passed and his parents are divorced. None of our parents have re married but my mom and his dad have 'Lovers' lol. Hope this helps!

Re: how are people announced

At most of the weddings I've been too, they've usually announced 'mother and father of the bride' followed by their first names, and 'mother and father of the groom' followed by their first names. The rest of the bridal party was just always introduced by their first names, no titles. And then the bride and groom were always the new 'Mr. and Mrs'. I guess they title the parents to make them feel special and so all the guests at the party know whose parents are whose. I'll probably do it this way too.
