UGH!!

FH works in Baldwin and I think I'm going to just meet him there for us to drive out together. He normally take Ocean Parkway though...but it makes me nervous since that isn't a heavily travelled road!

Thank you for posting.

DH and I just drove from Westbury to Queens and it's terrible out there. I agree stay home if you can.

Drove home from Farmingdale State College to Lindenhurst - 110 is pretty good, slow but safe. Some rough patches are developing and I have to say when the sun goes down DO NOT go out. This stuff is going to freeze and that is when the problems start.

it really didn't take me that long to get home from work today, but I only live about 5-10 minutes away. The back roads were a mess (i was slipping & sliding a bit) but the main road was better. We were all driving like 15 mph though. Safest bet is to probably stay home, but if ya do need to be out there, just drive careful & pace yourself (I may have to run out this evening too. I'll just be driving super slow. lol.)

I just did Amityville to Holbrook (Sunrise the whole way). It was ok for a while but I made a quick stop at Lord and Taylor and by the time I came out everything was a sheet of ice.

It is just going to get worse as the temps drop!

I work in Huntington - drove to the fed ex on 110 in melville and then to another store, then home to huntington station. 110 and jericho were fine ... wet, slushy and slow but ok. I heard the LIE is nasty though, my sister had to go from Miller Place to Levittown. It took her an hour to get to Melville. (I was supposed to call her when it started snowing since she was working at a place with no windows -- oops!)

Re: How are the Road conditions today?

WE ended up driving out but I met FH at Baldwin at 3pm instead of staying in queens and heading out later.

We went ocean parkway, then robert moses...but hit the worse of it when we hit the Sunrise hwy. It took us a little over 2 hours from Baldwin to Farmingville.

TOday is our Rehearsal and RD from 4pm on...I'm hoping all the roads are well salted and clear.

Re: How are the Road conditions today?

It took me 3 hours to get home-normally it takes me an hour and a half. I went 10 exits in an hour on the LIE so I decided to go to the Southern State-the roads were actually much better there so I'm glad I did it.
