FH and I just sat doiwn and went over our wedding budget, I feel sick. There's no way.....this is insane. Sorry, I'm freaking out right now!

I have had the same thoughts since we booked. I've asked my FH several times if he thinks we can do and he is pretty optimistic about it all. Still, we have definitely had to cut back. Also, in the process of this, we will also start looking for a place to live in spring 09, so trust me....I know how you all are feeling. I just keep telling myself to go with numbers I feel comfortable with and not to go into debt for one day, it's the life after that day that's more important.

go through and look to see where you can cut things out... for example, we went with low cp's to save some money, and even though i wanted a night wedding we ended up going with a day wedding in order to make it affordable... i know it stinks to have to sacrifice some stuff but like someone else said all that matters is that you are marrying the love of your life!! so don't stress it.
i agree...see whats important and whats not. in the beginning i wanted everything...i even wanted to get customized napkins and other little things but they add up. NO ONE is going to notice that you dont have the napkins..no one will notice that your Dj doesnt give away stuff...no one will notice that you dont have 25 desserts to choose from. Your wedding will still be beautiful even without the extras
You are completely correct. I ALMOST spent a fortune on invitations, then I smacked myself in the head and said no one will care, no will notice.
I am still overwhelmed. I set myself a budget thats too much so that I can try to cut costs and then hopefully I'll be happy whence I see that I come in under my budget...
