I usually wear my hair up all day everyday in a bun. I really only blow dry my hair for special occasions. So I wanted to have a down do for my wedding. My only concern is that I'll be sweating from dancing. But I don't really like the whole up do thing cause it feels so formal. My wedding is really laid back non traditional so I wanna be comfortable but still feel beautiful. How are u ladies doing your hair?

I'm doing an up-do, but I tend to wear my hair down all the time. Plus my hair doesn't hold a curl at all, so by the time I got to the church my hair would be flat. Look on pinterest - I've seen BEAUTIFUL styles that were down and fun.

Updo bc I do the japanese straightening my hair wont hold a curl and im figuring it will be better since I wont have to worry about it at all!

This exactly! I've gotten many ideas from pinterest!
I am also getting married in June. I REALLY want to do my hair down but I am scared to death about humidity and will legit flip out if my curls fall so an up-do may work better since you are also getting married in June.
It sucks, I know, but I dont wanna look like a ran through a sprinkler with my hair if the humidity is high!

I was growing my hair out just to wear it down ...but all my friends who are married said to me never to wear it down b/c they did and they wish they didnt so now that they said that im going to wear my hair to the side b/c im going to be dancing and the last thing i need is my hair in the way

I'm doing an updo, but I always go updo. I know it looks more formal, but an updo is actually the most low maintenance way to go if you want it to last all day.

hey dropping by 2013 brides! I had the same issue...I wear my hair up EVERY SINGLE DAY in a low bun. I didn't want the normal everyday thing. My hair is curly and looks like it is done all the time, haha. Plus I look better with my hair down ( I think ). It is most likely going to be very hot on my wedding day (labor day) but I am doing my hair down anyway... soft curls to the side. I am having my hair stylist leave me some big bobby pins so that if I get hot I can just pin up the hair. It will already be curled so when you pin it up (as long as you don't go too crazy) it should still look good. Where your hair the way you think you will look good in pictures and then get more comfortable for dancing. Hope that helps!!!

I have very long very thick very curly hair...and am having panic attacks on how to wear my hair..I usually can't wear my hair up for long periods because I get headaches so I'm thinking about a loose pullback so I can still showcase my curls. Because I wear my hair down everyday I just wanted something a little different and special

I'm planning on wearing my hair half-up, half-down. I have naturally long hair that's to my waist on a regular basis. It's usually down in the fall/winter/early sprign, and more often than not tied up somehow in the summer or braided.
My hair is naturally curlly (it's straight from being thrown into a bun to dry) so I plan on having it pinned half up, and loose romantic curls. Done with a curling iron so they lay nice.
I figure that keeps my hair out of my face, yet my hair down and flowy/romantic.

For me its a psychological thing. When my hair is up, it means I'm having a really bad hair day and I stuck it in a bun lol. So I don't feel as confident. I feel prettiest when its down, so that's what I want for my wedding. I figure waves will be an 'upgrade' from my usual straight style.
I got a lot of ideas from Pinterest. This is my favorite.

Thats very similar to the style i was going for. But looser curls not waves.

Updo or pulled back for the ceremony and down for the reception. My hair stylist is in my wedding so she will give me a style in which she can change it fast.
