How are you ladies do it

How are you ladies able to save for your wedding. It is so hard to save and pay for other things. When you have rent do or other billings due. How do you do it. I can't i'm trying and i mean i'm saving but it is really hard with bills. I can't even get a hair cut cause i'm saving for the wedding. I mean my mom only help alittle and it is still not helping. I think i'm going to have to get a loan out. It is i'm just stressing over this i really am. I want to have to money so we can get married it is just that i'm affaird that i'm not going to have all the money when the wedding comes that is what i'm so upset about. Sorry so long i just need to vent. I wish i was rich so i could do this.

I feel your pain! Really!

Its hard. We stopped going out.
Don't eat out so much - so now - we don't eat so much!
I don't buy ANYTHING - except for the wedding. No clothes, nothing.
I know what you mean about the haircutt though- I can't do anything either - I need highlights immensely! - and can't get them. I can't even afford to get my nails done every month.

So, I am home all the time, starving, and unkept... That is how I save money!!!!

At least you feel my pain. Yeah i stoped going out to and stop eating out and for work lunch i bring in. Yeah i can't buy anything it is really hard. Yeah it ***** that i cant' even color it either all i want is a haircut. Oh you are right i can't even get my nails done either it has been a month that i have not got them done. Yeah so i been home to doing nothing at all i just watch tv or have my girlfriends come over.

I am with you girls on the pain of saving. Tomorrow is my last day of work and I keep worrying about my bills and paying for the wedding, plus moving.

So much stress. It kills me because I'm trying to 'cut' corners with the budget and go less expensive, but I get soooo jealous of these other girls who toss around money and quotes like its nothing......one day

We've been doing much more cooking at home to save money - I should actually change my id name - we no longer eat take out all the time.

Yeah that is like me i'm here on the weekends to. I can't stand it either how other people are like throwing there money around like it is nothing at all. But they just have it that and i wish i did.

I'm in the same boat. I have no idea how we're making the payments and coming up with all the down payments. I finally got my hair cut after about 6 months! I gave in and just did it. We don't go out anymore and FH doesn't even know how much he gets paid anymore. We have a joint account and I'm in charge. But we're both on strict budgets. What I do is about every week I put aside between $10-$20 and I go buy FH a video game or something. That's how I paid for my hair cut. You might want to try that one. You'll be getting a hair cut in no time.

Yeah that is how long i have not had my hair cut and i still didn't get it yet but i will when i get paid. Yeah we are on strict budgets to that is why i'm not getting my hair cut. We are getting our joint acconts next week and i'm going to have them take 200 out of my pay check so i can save more. yeah that is good idea butting money like that away for little things. Thanks

I know how you feel! My parents are giving us a good chunk of change but we are sitll responsbile for a big part and are having a hard time pulling it together... My bigger concern at this point is after the wedding- I don't know where we're going to be able to find an apartment for what we can afford to pay! I am seriously going to be living in a cardboard box on the side of the road Come visit me!

well IT'S NOT EASY! and sometimes i have to really keep things in check to make sure we have enough money for the wedding and co-op but all seems to being going okay....4 more months till this is over!

i set up a budget in excel that lists my pay every other week ( i think i have it for like up to 3 months ahead at a time) listing all my known expenses...all that is dedcuted (i do everything monthly) and what is left i decide what i need it for. so i set aside x amount of money cash for each week and then have an estimated savings goal...i try to put in as much as possible. i give myself only 80 dollars cash per week for gas, eating out and going out.


a long time ago i also went over fh's budget and we decided what was a fair amount for him to put into our joint savings monthly and he's really been sticking to his end of the bargain.
