Re: How are you saving $$ on your wedding?
Getting married Sunday afternoon No extras on the RH DIY programs, menus and table #s No albums from photog
I can't think of anything else atm...I'm actually doing pretty bad if only because I doubled the price of my dress when I switched it

Re: How are you saving $$ on your wedding?
our wedding is on a Friday in April, instead of a Saturday in May or September like we originally wanted.
no venetian hour.
only getting 1 bridal party limo & one antique car & only for 3 hours.
researching!!!! finding what we like & then looking for the best price. (invites & favors)
budgeting. our wedding expenses r evenly distributed & known from the very beginning. so i set a budget & am sticking to it. (my expenses include FHs wedding band, the band, photographer & videographer, all paper items (STDs, invites, programs, etc), favors, photos at botanical gardens)
also i don't buy breakfast & lunch out anymore & am only using credit card for necessities.

09er crashing...
I booked at a KOC which cut my costs down in a big way
Have a friend who's in the video business shooting my wedding. He charged me a small fee for editing time and is shooting at 3 locations on our wedding day
Booked Dj and Photog thru Fh's friend who owns a wedding center.
Did flowers, but only bo-ks and bouts. No CPs (RH provides fresh flowers that go with your colors).
Bought a dress on clearance and paid it off throughout the year.
Didnt put anything on Credit cards
DIY'd favors and placecards
Getting my hair done at a salon in my area and DIYing my makeup.

Re: How are you saving $$ on your wedding?
Ummmmmmmm I'm basically not saving much, lol. But here are the things I am doing:
--Using a friend as my florist - he's giving me wholesale prices --Went to a family friend for photog - he's throwing in lots of upgrades --Got the VH thrown in for free --Entering contests for my invites and DIYing parts of them (saved $100) --Will probably DIY programs and placecards --Buying BM gifts with coupons and at discounts

Re: How are you saving $$ on your wedding?
- we decided not to get married at Land's End (that was what I dreamed of, but it would have been like 75% more)
- we got candle CP's instead of flowers (bought them all from BBB with coupons!!!)
- Neogiated any extra's at RH for only an extra $7pp... no VH and no crazy extras (not the full seafood boat but we got shrimp, clams and oysters, choc fountain).
- My sisters friends does invitations so is working with us on that.
- anything i buys (cake topper, shoes, etc) i search for the cheapest site to get it on and also search online for coupons before making the purchase (save $15 on my shoes, hey it all adds up!!!)
