how are you staying organized with sending the invites and rsvps..im sending mine out hopefully this week or next and im soo confused!!! please help!

i have a sedative that's hooked up to my veins...LOL just kidding..
I made a list of all the invites I'm sending out by numberr. and in back of the RSVPS (with pencil) I wrote that number that when when it comes back and the guest doesnt write their name, i know who it was.

As they come in I put them in either the groom's side pile or the bride's side pile. Then I check off that person from my address list.

I used the number system for questions who didn't write their name.. But I did invisible ink pens!! & with getting them back.. I have had one person not write their name along with a note as to why they couldn't come but it would be nice if they wrote their name.. Thankfully I whipped out my pen & saw their number LOL

My mom made an excel spreadsheet that calculates it all. just put how many attending and it changes the number automatically.
So it different colums for the guest names if they are attending or not...the table(once we do that) and the number we wrote on the back of the card.

i have a spreadsheet with names, addresses, number of guests(if someone was invited witha guest), number of children and how many invites for each household. (i have some adult cousins who live with their parents)

We have one master list n every time a RSVP comes in we check yes or no
Yesses we put in a box organized by his side n my side
Nos we put in an envelope

Spreadsheet! Then j added a gift section, so I could write what each guest gave us as they came in. This way we also have a master thank you note writing list attached to the yes/no list

I did this as well. My excel has columns for name, std sent, invite sent, accept, decline, # attending, table #. At the bottom I have a running total of accepts, still need to min & still need to our target #. I also have the box with cards organized by response type in case technology fails me :-P

we used a spreadsheet... and we also color-coded the cells. everyone was hi-lited in yellow until they responded. once they responded, we changed the color depending on if they were coming or not. as time went on, it was easier for us to see who hadn't yet responded (their names were still in yellow - couldn't miss 'em!) so we could follow up with them.
oh, and we also noted if they were a verbal RSVP or if they sent the card in. i didn't care one way or the other if they verbally let me know, or if they mailed it in... after hearing so many stories about people not responding at all, i was just glad that most people let us know.

I have a checklist with all the guests , as they come in I put if its a yes or no. I also have to envelopes labeled yes or no , I put the RSVP's as I go.

Excel & a hard copy just in case =) Then excel adds all the numbers up for you
