How bad does the stuff they make you drink for the Glucose test taste?

I have mine tonight. I am afraid I might gag! I am terrible with that stuff! I thought I was suppose to fast for it but they told me just not to eat to many sweets today? Thanks!

Actually-mine wasn't TOOOO bad. It was like a real sugary fruit punch. Good luck.

When do they do the glucose test? and do they have everyone do it? I don't remember doing it with Jordan.

I am 24 weeks so I think they do it some where in between 24-28 weeks. As far as I know it is mandatory. My Dr. was just kind of like you have to do this and I am not at high risk.

They told me you have to drink the stuff then wait an hour and do a blood test. I ll let you know tomorrow how it goes!

Orange isnt bad at all, tastes like orange soda only sweeter

Agreed. Both times, my doc gave me the 'soda pop' at the appt BEFORE and suggested that I refrigerate it before I drank it. Not bad, considering that I do not drink soda. The key is the timing. Exactly one hour BEFORE the appt or you have to wait and wait.

same here - You have a few mins to drink it all so you don't get sick. I didn't feel that great from it afterwards, but it didn't taste too bad.

I had the Orange soda-like one too. I actually liked it!
Couldn't understand what all the bad hype was... maybe there are different glucose drinks out there.

Thank you all for your great advice! It went really well. The drink wasn't bad at all. They gave me a choice of orange, lemon or lime and I went with the orange since that's what most of you recommended! Thanks again! Let hope I pass!
