i m buying a tin that has those dimensions..how big is that really? can someone comapre it to something?? can i put cookies in something that size? im clueless

yes that is what im looking for..the thing is--and this is the catch i m looking for a mets tin..like with e mets or baseball theme, and i found one that size but thats too small

ok- back to the original question--Mich, can you picture what a 4x6 photo looks like? Its the standard size you get at msot photo places.
So on your box, the short edge will be only one inch longer. (approximately the ldiameter of a quarter)2 &1/2 inches high is about as long as a thumb ( small-to medium sized hands) ( or 2 and a half quarters)
I have trouble visualizing numbers too. I have to bust out a ruler or measurign tape all the time.
ETA- oh a Mets tin! hmm, that's tough! mayeb get 2 of the tiny ones?
