completely back to back - ceremony is at the hall, it will start at 7:30, and the cocktail hour is at 8.
We are taking pictures beforehand.
My family is of the opinion (and I agree) that it's rude to expect your guests to sit around and fill up a couple of hours between the ceremony and cocktail hour - especially the out of town ones. It's not enough time to really do something, but too much to just go straight to the party. Most people will probably end up going and having a drink or two, and I'd rather people not starting getting drunk before they even get to the party. That's just me though!

30 min. our church is only several blocks from the reception.... the drive (with tons of traffic/pedestirans) is still only 2 min....

Church is at 2. CH starts at 7. It will be a full mass, so I guess we will be done around 3 or 3:30.

Church is at 3:30, which will probably take about an hour, so the gap will be 4:30 to 7 which is the start of cocktail hr. We'll use that time to take our pictures.

2 1/2 hrs. with a 30-45 min. drive from Ceremony Location to RH. For us there probably can never be too much time-for guests I am trying to work something out with RH to open up CH once guests arrive. I mean there is always so much food left over at the CH anyway. My guests might as well be able to have to access to it should they arrive early.

the mass will probably end at 3:30 and our reception at FT starts at 6 but if guests show up early they will have the garden room open and FT will have cold horsdeurves served with champagne and strawberries.

My FH's sister's ceremony was at 3pm, she didn't have a mass, and CH started at 7pm. They didn't get finished with pics until 7:45! The pics took a lot longer than she thought they would
