guestlist? I just did a preliminary one tonight and it is up around 164! I wanted 120!!!! Time to make some cuts.

I'm not inviting kids. The only 2 kids that will be at my wedding are my niece and nephew. And by the time the reception starts, they'll be asleep!
So, no, I don't think it's wrong for you to only ask close family to being kids.
There's nothing wrong with that!

I think I am on the other end of the spectrum. I'm trying to meet 100 minimum but not go over by more than 5 and I have a little over 90 guests so far. Our families are small so if friends don't bring dates, we won't meet the minimum.

we guaranteed 110 & where initially inviting 110. then at my shower we had more No's then expected so when the invites went out on Monday we invited 140. i hope we end up with 115.

I wanted 150 but I think it will be more like 175...almost half are from out of state, so we may have even less than 150 showing up.

Where to make the cuts is the next question.
I'm a big fan of the concept that if you don't even know who the hell I am then you should not be at my wedding. I don't want to meet people for the first time on that special day.

Ok, so since Im snowed in with my mom, we decided to sit down and do a rough draft of my guest list. i still have to talk to FH and FMIL if they have other people that they'd like to invite.
And I'm having the COMPLETE opposite issue.....
My guest list is only 90 people so far. And I guaranteed 125. This isn't just my family. This includes our friends, his immediate relatives, etc.
Hopefully FH and FMIL have other people that they want to invite!

When we did our initial count we were at around 70, but we can bump it up now that we have our place picked, so we have to do it again. I'm wanting to keep it under 100.
