The dress comes below the knee and it can be made tighter, when on me, it does not look so droopy.

The thing about this wedding is the ceremony already took place, so this is very casual as per the bride. This is my FH's biece, whom I have never met, long story and she told my FMIL that it was very casual, and I have nothing else to wear that fits right.

My FH told me casual means hjeans, so I can't get any clues from them and his sister is stuck in the 80's so, I can't get an idea by what she is wearing, she will probably wear leggings tucked in to her slouchy socks with LA Gears on.

These are one that I was thinking about

These are a little differetn then the ones I have, but they are similar enough.

The other pair I have is leather wedge with a strap that criss corsses in the back of the foot and arounf the ankle.

At casual corner, but they are at Lerner NY for 40% off and 2 earrings for $10 check them out if you have any close to you. Also Rainbow or Joyce Leslie stores, cheap, cute accessories.

If you tightened the dress and its still lose, then the dress does not fit your body. It should drape over you body, not hang off it if that makes sense.

I just bought really cute strappy black sandals from Parade of Shoes. They are having a big sale now.

It is not loose if I tighten it, and put the inside button on the right one.

I just spoke to my FH, who said the bride said we can wear jeans!!!

Hello it is a wedding!!!!!!

He said I could also wear pants that I wear to work, maybe I will get a nice pair of capris then, I can't believe that we can wear jeans.

I just wish that I would have known earlier, before I started stressing about what to wear.

Holly molly, congrats, this makes the whold dress issue much much easier. You can pull off so many cute outfits with jeans.

No she said that it is in a park, so it is very casual.

I am not wearing jeans though. I bought a gauzy brown shirt where the sleeves are slit and then tied together and a beige long skirt.

I've tried that dress on, and it looks much better in person than it does in that picture. I think Lane Bryant is crazy for showing their plus sized clothing on manequins that are regular size, it makes the clothes look droopy and huge. I really think it's a bad business practice...enough of my rant. Anyhow, if the dress code is casual, I think you can get away wearing it the way it is, it doesn't really need dressing up. If you find out that the dress code is a little fancier though, I don't know if this dress will work because the fabric is very casual.

Edited to say: I just read that the dress code is ultra casual. I'd wear a nice capri pants outfit if I were you.
