How can I find out how much my house is worth

I want to get it appraised, but I don't want to hassle with a real estate agent because I'm not sure if we are ready to sell yet. Any ideas?

I know you can use an appraiser without going thru an agent.... I just don't know if costs more or not.

An appraisal from an independant company will cost a few hundred. Maybe 300-400 or so.

Call the appraisal company that did your first appraisal and ask them for a reappraisal.
