How close was your shower to your wedding?

Okay, so here we are in the end of April and no shower. Lots of things have been purchased off the registry, but it doesn't look like it is coming soon.

Next weekend I have two parties to go to, so it is not then, the weekend after is Mother's Day, so I don't think it will be then. The weekend after that I have already told my mother my plans and she never told me we (as a family) have plans.

When I was telling my mother I was excited about stuff coming off my registry, she made some comment about how scheduling has been tough and my shower was going to be AFTER my wedding and she laughed.

What is going on? The presents have been purchased! What are they waiting for????

By the way, I am getting married June 20th!!

Mine was in January and I'm getting married in May.

I had 2 parties in January to go to and I honsetly thought they both weren't for me. Because back in October, my aunt said something and slipped (on purpose to throw me off) that we can do an Easter theme. And so I thought it had to be in April!!

I was invited to two birthday parties in January (a 30th and a 40th birthdays). I thought the 30th Birthday party was for me, because everyone was talking about it and it was someone close in FH's family - so I thought it had to be.

As for the 40th Birthday party I honestly thought it was a 40th Birthday party, but when I walked in they screamed SURPRISE!!!
