Another smooth commute, but be careful, supposedly, the anararchists are fixing to get ugly today.

I commute through Jersey and sailed right through the Holland tunnel...

As I sit here in my office, all I'm hearing right now are sirens... ...I hope all is well out there.

Be careful everyone!!!!

Commute wasn't bad, just a little nervous about the supposed unrest since I am between Union Square and MSG. But only b/c I don't want the hassle of having to deal with people in my way.

ITs been really easy especially that I work 2 blocks from all of it.

I walked down to the convention area yesterday and took some pictures.

The sirens (for the most part) are merely just escorts for delegates going to and from the garden.

Like I said yesterday... I wish the convention was every week. This commute has been a piece of cake for me.

Let all the lamers stay home this week that didn't have the grapefruits to come into the city. Makes my life a lot easier.

No problems today either. Thurs will probably be the worst since that's when Bush is speaking.

You may see some issues in Queens on Wednesday. They say that Bush will be at an 'undisclosed location' in Queens on Wednesday to watch Cheney's speech along with families of the troops.

For the DNC, we had a lot of the pre game 'hoopla' and NOTHING all week!. The city was a virtual ghost town. You could walk into any restaurant and be seated for dinner w/o a wait. Lots of hype and I think it scared people off. Is it the same in NYC? So Far?

My buddy at Boston said the same thing. He predicted that NYC would be the same. I told him that New Yorkers are tough as nails and it would be 'business as usual' in the city and it would definitely NOT be a ghost town.

He emailed me back joking saying 'famous last words'.

DH said his commute was great! he decided to take the LIRR to Flatbush this week instead of the Express bus. There was hardly anyone getting off the train when i went to pick him up last night.

I took the LIRR this morning and it was smooooooooooth sailing. Penn Station looked like any other day.. no problems.

The only thing that's different is there are no cars on 7th ave.

Other than that it was a breeze walking to work. I actually enjoyed the fact that there were less people in the streets.

So far so good over here. Didn't bypass Penn again today, train was 5 minutes late.
